Replacing a Bin: Replacement Commercial Bins, Lids and Spare Parts

A cracked lid, a seized castor or a split body does not always mean you need a new bin. Here is how to decide whether to repair or replace a commercial bin, and where to find the parts.

Replacing a household bin? Bins for your home are usually provided by your local council, so check its website first. This guide is for businesses, sites and organisations that own their own containers.

Replacement wheelie bins and containers

If the body is beyond repair, match your old bin’s capacity and lifting type so that it still works with your collector’s vehicle. We supply:

Replacement bin lids

A new lid is often the quickest fix. We sell 240L wheelie bin lids in a choice of colours, as well as lids for trade waste containers, front-end loaders, rear-end loaders and skips. To find the right one, check your container’s capacity and how its lid fits, then browse our bin lids.

Castors, locks and spare parts

We also supply castors, locks, drain plugs and other bin spare parts to help keep containers in service.

Refurbish instead of replacing

If you run a number of steel containers, refurbishment can extend their life and reduce the need for new ones. Our bin refurbishment service covers repairs and restoration. If you would like to know more about the condition of your fleet, ask us about a waste container audit.
