Scottish success prompts team expansion

Worcester-based container manufacturer and waste solutions provider, Egbert Taylor, has announced plans to grow its presence in Scotland following the appointment of Adam Ramsay, who joins the team this month as Area Business Manager.

The move follows a string of successes in Fife and South Ayrshire, which has seen the large-scale rollout of many of Egbert Taylor’s flagship products including the 1280L Continental bin and anti-contamination product, the Lid in Lid.

Egbert Taylor’s recent national recycling award win, which was presented for its work with Scottish-based Nathan’s Wastesavers, is one of many initiatives that has helped the longstanding manufacturer deliver growth and increase market share throughout the region.

Adam, who has built a career outside of the waste industry working with prominent brands including Konica Minolta and Lloyds Banking Group, reports into Scottish Area Business Manager, Kevin Docherty, who has headed up the region for almost 10 years.

On joining the business Adam comments: “Whilst Egbert Taylor is rapidly growing its presence within Scotland, there is huge potential to extend its reach even further. As someone who is new to the waste industry I expect to approach the sector with a new perspective and a fresh pair of eyes and very much look forward to working alongside Kevin as we continue to build the brand in the region.”

Egbert Taylor’s decision to build its Scottish team comes as international demand for the brand reaches new levels and significant orders continue to be placed from overseas.

Mark Jenkins, Egbert Taylor’s UK & Ireland Sales Director, adds: “The UK market is as important to Egbert Taylor today as it was when the first Taylor bins started to appear in the early sixties. We’re enormously proud of our successes, both at home and abroad, however it’s important that we continue to build on these achievements. As the Scottish market grows it’s crucial that Egbert Taylor grows with it, so we’re delighted to welcome Adam to the team.”
